What Our Customers Say

J&S Transportation Vehicle Shipping Reviews

The experience from start to finish was professional, timely, stress less and personable! I will definitely use J&S Transportation again!

Frank D, North Dakota

Delivery was outstanding! Much better than when I shipped my vehicle to Virginia with another car shipper. That \"door to door\" service had me driving to Boise for pick up and meet at an IHOP to pick it up. This you guys delivered the vehicle to my door! And it was twice as fast as I anticipated. Thanks so much!

Nate S, Montana

Delivery went wonderful, couldn\'t have asked for a smoother process. Truck delivery person, Virgil, was a pleasure to work with and kept me up to date on his arrival time. Will definitely use J&S Transport again if I ever need a vehicle long hauled.

Mary M, Montana

We couldn\'t be happier with our transport. The gentleman that picked up the car was prompt and professional and got the car to our mother right when he said he would. The customer service person we worked with was so polite and explained every step to the T. We will definitely use and recommend your transport service again. Thank you so much for your professional service and kindness.

North Dakota Vehicle Shipping

North Dakota is our neighbor to the east of our home state of Montana. When you look at a map of North Dakota, you’ll notice the obvious. This midwestern state is dominated by the Great Plains, and there are very few heavily populated cities. In fact, North Dakota is the fourth least densely populated state in the country! While car carriers certainly travel the state, it’s not a common destination for many of them.

There are two primary trucking corridors in the state: I-94, which runs east/west across the state, and I-29, which runs north/south along the eastern border of the state. Your best car shipping options are going to be along those two corridors, but the best options are Fargo, West Fargo, Dickinson, and Bismarck (in that order).

If you ship a car to or from any location more than 50 miles north or south of I-94, or more than 50 miles west or east of I-29, it is going to be a very difficult North Dakota auto transport! By difficult we mean your transport may take a little more time and may require additional money to complete. The exceptions are Williston and Minot located in the northern half of the state. By no means are those two locations “easy,” but given their populations, 27,300 and 47,700 respectively, there are car carriers that will ship to or from those cities occasionally.

Montana Vehicle Shipping

Shipping cars in and out of Montana is challenging for a couple reasons. First, take a look at the landscape of the state. The east side of the state is comprised of the Great Plains with sparsely populated towns and cities. Heading west from the Great Plains you run into the Rocky Mountains, and then you have the Cabinet Mountains and the Bitterroot Range in the west. Second, consider Montana’s weather. It has some of the harshest and longest winters in the country. You combine Montana’s challenging landscape and its weather, and you can understand why shipping cars to and from the state isn’t exactly a walk in the park.

The best car shipping locations in Montana are along the I-90 corridor from Billings to Bozeman, but most of the other cities along I-90, even up to Missoula aren't bad.

Other solid car shipping locations include those along I-15 from Helena down to the I-15 and I-90 junction.

Finally, those locations along I-94 from Billings to the North Dakota border are decent car shipping locations. This is a 250-mile trucking corridor that is heavily traveled by car carriers so locations along it such as Miles City and Glendive are all good locations to ship cars to or from.

The challenging car shipping locations in Montana are those locations 50 miles or more north or south of I-90 and I-94. The further away you get from those interstates, the more challenging the car shipments will be, meaning they will cost more money and will take more time to complete.

Other challenging car shipping locations in the state include those locations north of Helena and south of Dillon on I-15.

We are strategically based in Billings, MT. The two major trucking corridors in the state join and divide here, I-90 and I-94, so it is an ideal hub for car shipments to and from Montana. For the convenience of our customers, we provide free secured terminal shipping in Billings for pick ups and drop offs if needed.

As a Montana auto transport company with over 20 years of experience handling the unique challenges of shipping vehicles in and out of Montana, and with strong relationships with car carriers and rollback companies throughout the state, there isn't an auto transport we can't handle! Whether you are shipping to or from a remote location like Glasgow or Shelby, or a relatively easy location like Billings, we can get your vehicle shipped quickly and safely.
