That’s where having a reliable dealership car delivery service becomes important.
J&S Transportation regularly handles dealer-to-customer auto transport for dealerships selling new and used vehicles to buyers in other states. We work with dealership sales representatives and managers to coordinate pickups and then transport the vehicle directly to the customer.
You don’t need your sales staff spending time trying to locate drivers, coordinate transportation details, or chase down shipping updates.
Your team handles the vehicle sale. Our team handles the transport.

How Dealer-to-Customer Vehicle Shipping Works
We keep dealer-to-customer vehicle delivery simple.
1. Get your shipping price.
Use our dealership portal to get an immediate estimate and request a guaranteed price from our dispatch team.
2. Book the transport.
Provide us with the vehicle information, dealership pickup details, customer delivery information, and the date the vehicle will be ready.
3. We arrange the pickup.
Our dispatch team coordinates with the appropriate person at your dealership and schedules the carrier.
4. The vehicle is inspected and transported.
Before the vehicle is loaded, its condition is carefully documented and pictures are taken. The vehicle is then transported to your customer.
5. We coordinate delivery.
The customer meets the driver, inspects the vehicle, and accepts delivery.

We work with dealerships and their customers every day. Our team understands how dealership pickups work and how to coordinate transportation after an out-of-state or remote vehicle sale.
A Small, U.S.-Based Team

Our Own Fleet Plus Trusted Carrier Partners
J&S Transportation is both an auto carrier with our own fleet and a licensed auto transport broker. That gives us additional options when arranging nationwide car delivery for auto dealers.
Carrier Vetting
When one of our trusted partner carriers handles a shipment, our team verifies licensing and insurance before assigning the transport.
Regular Communication

Protecting Your Customer’s Vehicle From Pickup to Delivery
When you’re shipping a vehicle to a customer, especially a high-value vehicle, you want to know it’s being transported by a properly insured, reputable carrier. We take carrier selection very seriously.
When we use one of our trusted partner carriers, we verify that the carrier is properly licensed and insured and that its cargo insurance is adequate for the value of the vehicle being transported. We also look at the carrier’s track record, including how it has handled damage claims in the past. If a carrier doesn’t meet our standards, we don’t use them.
Vehicle damage during auto transport is rare, but if something does happen, we don’t leave your dealership or your customer to deal with the carrier alone. We have a dedicated Damage Claims Manager who coordinates the claims process, makes sure the necessary information is provided, and works with the carrier until the claim is settled.
Your Shipping Company Is Part of the Customer Experience
The customer’s experience with your dealership doesn’t necessarily end when the paperwork is signed.
If you’re shipping cars out of state for dealership customers, the delivery becomes one of the final parts of their buying experience.
A late pickup, poor communication, or an unprofessional delivery can quickly turn into a customer-service issue for your dealership.
That’s why we take the communication and coordination side of the transport seriously.
Our goal is simple: get the vehicle from your dealership to your customer safely, keep everyone informed, and help you finish the sale on a positive note.
Dealer Auto Transport FAQs
How are dealer-to-customer shipments coordinated?
We handle the transportation side of the transaction from pickup through delivery.
On the dealership side, we’ll work directly with your salesperson, sales manager, or whoever you designate as our contact. On the delivery side, we’ll communicate directly with your customer.
We coordinate the pickup, keep both the dealership and customer updated as the shipment moves forward, and handle the delivery arrangements with the customer.
Your sales team doesn’t have to spend time tracking down shipping updates or acting as the middleman between the customer and the carrier. Once the transport is booked, we take it from there.
How is the dealership portal different from the instant quote form on your website?
The biggest difference is that the dealership portal gives your dealership a direct pipeline to our dispatch team to obtain a Guaranteed Price.
The dealership portal first provides an immediate shipping estimate. You can then submit that estimate directly to our dispatchers, who will review the vehicle and route and respond with a guaranteed shipping price.
Our dispatch team will also provide more specific pickup and delivery forecasts and let you know about any unusual vehicle requirements, route challenges, or other factors that may affect the transport.
You’re getting pricing and transport information directly from the team that will be responsible for arranging the shipment.
What happens if a vehicle is damaged during transport?
Vehicle damage during auto transport is rare, but if it happens, J&S Transportation stays involved in the claims process.
We carefully vet the carriers we work with and verify that they are properly licensed and insured and have adequate cargo insurance for the vehicles they transport.
If damage does occur, our dedicated Damage Claims Manager works with your dealership, your customer, and the carrier to make sure the claim is filed properly and handled promptly.
We don’t simply give you the carrier’s information and leave you or your customer to handle the claim alone. We stay involved until the claim is settled!
How are vehicle shipments paid for?
Shipments can be paid by credit or debit card.
A 10% deposit is paid when the transport is booked. The remaining balance is charged to the same card when the vehicle is picked up at the dealership.
That means your customer doesn’t have to handle payment at delivery, carry cash, or pay the driver.
Does J&S Transportation offer invoicing for dealerships?
Yes. Qualified dealerships can be set up for invoicing rather than paying individually for every shipment by credit or debit card.
Contact our team if you’re interested in invoicing and we’ll let you know how it works.
Can J&S Transportation deliver the vehicle directly to our customer’s home?
Yes. We provide door-to-door auto transport whenever the pickup and delivery locations can safely and legally accommodate a car carrier.
If the carrier cannot access the customer’s exact address because of narrow streets, weight restrictions, low-hanging trees, tight turns, or similar limitations, we’ll coordinate a nearby safe and convenient delivery location directly with the customer.
What makes J&S Transportation different from other car shipping companies?
J&S Transportation has been shipping vehicles since 2000, and working with auto dealerships has always been a significant part of our business.
We’re both a licensed auto carrier with our own fleet of trucks and a licensed auto transport broker. Our fleet works extensively with dealerships, while our brokerage team regularly coordinates dealer-to-customer shipments throughout the country.
That experience gives our team a strong understanding of dealership transportation from both sides of the industry. We understand how dealership pickups work, how important communication is after the sale, and what it takes to get a vehicle safely from your dealership to your customer.
Our goal is to become the car shipping company your dealership can rely on whenever you need to get a sold vehicle to a customer.
