Kia Forte transported from North Dakota to Boise in 36 hours

After searching the internet for an auto hauling company, Ron Kerr of Boise, ID, found J&S, and then found our customer service to be excellent and our people to be friendly and professional.

“How I found J&S is kind of a long story. My sister needed to ship a car, a 2012 KIA Forte, from Dickinson, ND, to Boise, ID, and I volunteered to help her out a little bit. I’ve never had to ship a car before,” says Ron, “but I’m a little bit more internet savvy than her. I started by going to some website that referenced me to eight or ten different firms.”

There was a cheaper quote I had, but I was a little bit uneasy going with some of these other companies, so I went with J&S. They have good references on their site.

“I went to about eight or ten sites and they were all sending me emails and prices, all the way from $500 to $1000, saying, ‘We’re the best, trust us…go to this site, go to that site.’ I can’t tell you for sure but I think they might have all been brokers rather than actual trucking companies. I called one, but they didn’t go to Dickinson. Then some people gave me some names of two or three companies out of Denver. They said they wouldn’t be going to North Dakota, but they mentioned J&S as a company out of Billings that might be able to do it. I went and found their website, and contacted them.”

“I chose to go with J&S because they were a transport company; they weren’t a third party broker or anything. I talked to them, and they said they were a trucking company. Plus I just had a gut feeling that they were the right company.”

“They’re right there in Billings, they’re on the route, and some of these other companies were saying that wasn’t a route that they would normally do. There was a cheaper quote I had, but I was a little bit uneasy going with some of these other companies, so I went with J&S. They have good references on their site.”

“At first there was a problem with the offsite server J&S was using. It wasn’t accepting my user name and email address, so the J&S staff actually connected me with their webmaster and we walked through the problem. He had to override it and put in his email address. And then of course the receipt went to him, and then he had to turn around and forward it to me”.

“Other than that, the entire process with J&S was really good. They gave me an estimated delivery of about two weeks, but once they picked up the car, it only took two days for them to deliver it, and that was with standard shipping, not the express option.”

“I guess what I was most impressed with was the speed in which they got the car here, really. Apparently they left Dickinson on a Friday evening, and got here to Boise by Sunday morning. That’s about 950 miles.”

I chose to go with J&S because they were a transport company; they weren’t a third party broker.

“All the people I dealt with, Gary and Brad, the driver Tom, they all seemed to be polite and professional, and knew what they were doing. As I said, I’ve not done this before, and J&S just seemed to know what they were doing and got the car here quickly.”

“I don’t know if I’ll be in a position to ship a car again, but if I did, I’d use J&S again. They got the car here very quickly and were good to work with, and I guess that would be the main thing.”

Thanks, Ron. If you need to ship a car in the future we’ll be here.
