2007 Toyota Sienna bought online shipped by J&S

Jason Dobbs of Reno, NV, needed to ship a car he bought online, a 2007 Toyota Sienna, from the dealership in Pleasanton, CA, to his home in Reno, NV. An internet search led him to a couple of auto transport companies, but after getting reading some customer reviews and getting his free car transport quote, he decided to give J&S a shot.

“I bought a car online, a 2007 Toyota Sienna, and needed to get it shipped to me here in Reno, NV. I hadn’t seen the car, so I was a little hesitant,” says Jason. “I had the CARFAX and asked the dealership, Pleasanton Auto Mall, a few questions about things that wouldn’t show up in photos like making sure it sounded good when it ran, that the previous owner hadn’t been a smoker; those were a couple of things that I just had to take their word on.”

“I did a Google search for car transporters. I found a couple outfitters in the region that were willing to do it. I called two of them and J&S was one of them.”

“I read some customer reviews about the companies. The customer reviews and testimonials on the sites weighed in my decision. I think I would’ve paid more if one of the companies had great reviews and the other one had some sketchy ones.”

“I wouldn’t have wanted to save the money if they had gotten bad reviews, but both companies had good reviews, so I went for the less expensive one, which was J&S. Their quote was in the ballpark, so I thought I’d save a few bucks, basically.”

“It worked out well. I had the car picked up from the dealer. J&S pretty much set up and coordinated all the pickup stuff with the dealership so I didn’t have to be a middleman there. It was nice and convenient.”

“The actual transport happened pretty quickly; within a couple of days of when I paid for the car. There was some weather over Donner Pass, so I was actually expecting there might be a little delay, but the driver came right on time.”

“We knew in advance that the driver wasn’t going to be able to get to my neighborhood cause of the size of the truck, but that was no problem for me. We made arrangements and I met him a couple of miles away at a more convenient exit. I was a few minutes behind when I told him I’d be there, and by the time I got there, he already had the car off his rig and just needed a signature. It was that easy.”

The best part about deciding to use J&S was the clear communication and prompt delivery. They delivered everything as promised.

“I would use J&S again and recommend them. The ‘why’ is for all the reasons I already said: It was cheaper than the alternative; their communication and that the car was delivered on time. I was half-expecting them to say, ‘We can do it, but it’s gonna be a couple of weeks until we’ve got a driver going that route.’ It was within a couple of days, so yeah, I’d recommend them.”

Thanks, Jason. We look forward to hearing from you next time you need to ship a car bought online.
