1975 BMW 2002 Coupe transported from CA to MA

Jon Bemis bought a 1975 BMW 2002 Coupe from a dealership in Sacramento, CA, and need to get it transported to his home in Boxford, MA. He had saved up for this vintage car and wanted to make sure it was delivered safely. He used J&S to ship his baby. The car was delivered safely and ahead of schedule, but it was our people and commitment to customer service he was most enthusiastic about.

“I found J&S on a web search. There was some pretty good feedback on them. They weren’t a large carrier and I noticed that they had their own trucks, and that appealed to me,” said Jon. “I had bought a car, a 1975 BMW 2002 Coupe, from Luxury Motor Cars in Sacramento, California, and needed it shipped to my home in Boxford, MA. I had shipped a car before, but it goes back quite a ways. It was taken care of by a house mover, United Van Lines, as part of moving a home.”

“My first contact was with Brad and after speaking with him I was sold on J&S. Brad is a kind of a guy that comes off as honest. I felt I was dealing with an honest person. I felt like he was being upfront with me on things.”

“I only had a concern when Brad told me that he wasn’t going to be able to get it on one of J&S’s trucks. But by this point, I had developed a sense of confidence in Brad and I trusted him that he was going to get it on a decent carrier. This car was like a baby to me, you know what I mean? I’d saved up my money for a long time to buy this and so I was really, really nervous about damage during transport. Brad helped put me at ease. He and Vonda, who works together with him, impressed me a great deal and were equally responsive to my concerns.”

“It was a very short period of time after I made the deposit that Brad made the transportation arrangements. The car was picked up when he said it would be and it got to me a day earlier than was estimated. The transport itself worked out great. They picked it up on a Tuesday. The initial estimate was that I would have it by the following Thursday or Friday, but I actually got it on Wednesday.”

“Anytime through the process when there was any issue at all, Brad was very, very quick to get back to me, even after hours. I mean, he called me once at 7:30 his time.”

“I would have to say what impressed me the most about J&S is Brad. He’s what really sold me. If I had made those initial contacts and it wasn’t him, if it was just some guy without his personality and his character, and the way that he instilled this sense of confidence in me, I’m not sure that after I found out that it wasn’t going to be on a J&S truck I would’ve gone forward. But I trusted him and my senses were correct. He was a good guy.”

“Brad told me some stuff up front that he didn’t have to tell me. Before I sent the deposit he told me he wasn’t going to be able to get it on one of his trucks. If he was a shyster guy, he would’ve waited until after the deposit came through and then told me. But he wanted to be honest up front and tell me they weren’t going to be able to get it on one of their trucks and I just thought, ‘this is an honest guy,’ and that’s what I cared about the most.”

“J&S puts a picture of these people up on the website. I think that’s a really good thing. I think it instills a level of confidence in you. You can look at the pictures and see who you’re working with and talking to.”

“Basically, Brad’s customer service and the way he communicated with me is what put me at ease. J&S was a little pricier than what I could have had somebody else ship it for, but the money was worth it to me to know that the car was in good hands and it wasn’t going to disappear.”

“All in all, I was very, very pleased and impressed with the service of J&S and I would recommend them again. I actually put a review on transportreviews.com and Yelp as well. The people at J&S are professionals. If anybody has to ship a car or if I ship another car, they’ll be the first people that I call. No question.”
