How we load and unload an auto transport trailer When you book an auto transport order, the main concerns people have is how much does it cost to ship their car, how soon can it be picked up and how soon can it be delivered, all of which are valid questions. But they rarely know the effort that goes into getting their vehicles delivered to their door. Not a lot of wiggle room! Getting your car delivered safely, quickly, and damage-free is J&S Transportation’s primary concern. How do we do this? The first step is loading your vehicle onto our car hauler. Getting the vehicles on and off the trailer takes a lot of skill! Our drivers have only a few inches of leeway on either side of the vehicle, and the bigger the vehicle, the less wiggle room they have. Slow and steady not only wins the race, it’s how we load and unload our auto transport trailers. J&S auto transport trucks use double decker trailers and haul up to 12 vehicles, depending on their size. The trailers are hydraulic and allow the driver to lower the upper and lower decks to load vehicles on to the trailer. They are also able to raise the upper deck once loaded to create space on the lower deck to fully load the truck. Once on board the trailer, we secure the vehicles to the trailer. This is an industry safety standard. All of J&S Transportation’s trucks are soft strap vs. chains…. Read more »

We recently published our article “The Weirdest Driving Laws In All 50 States” highlighting some of the wackiest laws still on the books in the US. Apparently, we’re not the only ones who found these laws to be strange, to say the least. WSPA (Greenville, Spartanburg, and Anderson, SC) used our article and the strange laws in North and South Carolina as the basis for a news segment recently. Correspondent Diane Lee (email@example.com) hit the streets to see what people thought. Asked about the South Carolina law about not storing trash in your car, Shanda Mayes replied “The better put me in jail now!” (Full disclosure: I would probably get the death penalty for this if I was pulled over in South Carolina). When told about the Pennsylvania law stating you have to take apart your car and hide it if horses are scared of it, Curt Strickland said he didn’t agree with that and if the horses were scared “they’d just have to put them in the barn!” The list was shown to South Carolina state lawmaker and lawyer Derham Cole (R-District 32); he laughed about it, but stated that while the laws were silly, state legislatures need to do a better job about striking these antiquated laws off the books. “The laws can jump and surprise people, citizens, lawyers, legislators, and we should be vigilant and try to make the law as efficient and streamlined as it can be.” Diane closed the segment saying “Something happened in order… Read more »
