Haylee Stanton needed a car shipped from Billings, MT, to Olney, MD, and based on a family friend’s recommendation decided to go with J&S. She found the process to be easy, the customer service to be excellent and the result to be better than she expected. But let her tell you: “My dad recently bought a new Volvo 4WD, so I bought his 2006 Volvo S60 and needed it shipped from Montana to Maryland. A family friend told me about J&S. I checked out there website, got a reasonable quote and that’s why I ended up using them to transport the car,” says Haylee. “I knew exactly what was going to happen, exactly what I needed to do, exactly what they were going to do.” “We previously shipped a car through the military. My husband got transferred from Louisiana to Germany so we had to ship our car there and then shipped a car back to the US when we got reassigned here to Maryland a few years later. There was a lot of paperwork to do because it was the military and was shipped overseas.” “Working with J&S was really good. They were very prompt, very courteous and they were very knowledgeable. They explained the whole process and I knew exactly what was going to happen, exactly what I needed to do, exactly what they were going to do.” “What really impressed me was how quickly they got my car to me. From the time I called to and… Read more »
Our customers talk about their J&S Transportation auto shipping experiences.
Glen Ponder got an early Christmas present when he placed his auto hauling order with J&S Transportation. Not only was the cost to ship a car right, the speed with which we delivered made Glen’s day. “I recently bought a car, a 2000 Honda Insight from a dealership in Auburn, WA, and needed it moved to me in Missoula, MT,” says Glen. “I had never shipped a car so the sales representative said that he would look around and see if he could find anyone to recommend to me, and he recommended J&S.” “When I called J&S and got a quote, I was pleased by the quote that I was given.” “I had put the feelers out on the Internet for different auto transport companies. They were giving me quotes that were invariably higher than what J&S gave me. The other companies were telling me that for the amount that J&S was asking, my car probably would never get picked up and that I needed to be willing to pay more to ensure that I get the car in a reasonable time but I decided to just go with my gut. I just had a good feeling about J&S and decided to go with them.” “I didn’t have to make many phone calls to J&S to make the arrangements. They seemed to be pretty efficient. Within one or two phone calls I was able to get everything squared away.” What most impressed me was simply the fact that J&S did… Read more »
After searching the internet for an auto hauling company, Ron Kerr of Boise, ID, found J&S, and then found our customer service to be excellent and our people to be friendly and professional. “How I found J&S is kind of a long story. My sister needed to ship a car, a 2012 KIA Forte, from Dickinson, ND, to Boise, ID, and I volunteered to help her out a little bit. I’ve never had to ship a car before,” says Ron, “but I’m a little bit more internet savvy than her. I started by going to some website that referenced me to eight or ten different firms.” “There was a cheaper quote I had, but I was a little bit uneasy going with some of these other companies, so I went with J&S. They have good references on their site.” “I went to about eight or ten sites and they were all sending me emails and prices, all the way from $500 to $1000, saying, ‘We’re the best, trust us…go to this site, go to that site.’ I can’t tell you for sure but I think they might have all been brokers rather than actual trucking companies. I called one, but they didn’t go to Dickinson. Then some people gave me some names of two or three companies out of Denver. They said they wouldn’t be going to North Dakota, but they mentioned J&S as a company out of Billings that might be able to do it. I went and found… Read more »
Carl Bovel of San Rafael, CA, needed a car delivery service to ship his new Miata up the California coast. When an issue arose with his credit card, what impressed him was J&S’s willingness to work with him to resolve the problem and how quickly his vehicle was delivered. I was utterly amazed at how quickly I received it. They picked the vehicle up in the morning one day and I had it the following day by 10:30 at night. “I bought a 2006 Mazda Miata MX5 and needed it shipped to me in San Rafael, CA, from Woodland Hills, CA, which is a little bit north of Los Angeles,” said Carl. “All in all it went very well.” “Much hinged upon the seller; he worked nights as a nurse and was moving east to join his wife. I gave him J&S’s email address and telephone number so that if problems arose he could contact you from his end as to when the car would be available, so you had to do a bit of juggling with him as to the time of pickup of the car.” “I have to admit once the car was picked up I was utterly amazed at how quickly I received it. They picked the vehicle up in the morning one day and I had it the following day by 10:30 at night. He called and asked if it would be okay to deliver at that time of night. It was within 3/4 of a… Read more »
When Bob Barr of Dallas, Texas needed to get his vehicle off an island near Seattle and down into the plains of Texas, he expected to find some phone number, get a bunch of quotes and call backs and voice mails. What he found instead at J&S Transportation surprised him: “I have had prior experience shipping cars. Historically, it was always phone calls to the respective companies. This is the first time I was able to transact most of this over the Internet,” said Barr. “The website experience at J&S was simple, fast, and easy to understand. I was able to quickly generate a quote which I thought was very fair, and then save that quote and turn it into an order.” “The next day I had the appropriate dialog with the right person to arrange the pickup and the shipping of the vehicle. It was from Seattle, Washington, all the way down to Dallas. I own a home on an island up off the coast of Seattle. J&S arranged to get my vehicle off the island, towing it to the ferry at no extra charge.” “This is the first time I was able to transact most of this over the internet.” “According to the website delivery could have taken up to 21 days, but much to my surprise, they delivered within seven days. The car actually beat me there so I had to arrange an alternative delivery site with J&S until I could arrive and pick it up. It… Read more »
When Amelia Hunt of Portland, OR, was looking to transport her rare 1953 Chevrolet five-window truck, J&S Transportation’s customer service made it an easy decision: “My previous car shipping experience wasn’t what we were hoping for. The vehicle wasn’t delivered on time. It came, it just didn’t come on time,” said Amelia. “I chose J&S to ship my car because I had a friend who lived there in Billings who recommended you guys. She used you guys for transport from Billings to Las Vegas–and also because the J&S crew seemed pretty concerned about the vehicle itself rather than just getting their money and sending out the shipment.” “The vehicle is a 1953 Chevy five-window truck. They didn’t make the five-window that much so it was pretty rare. It was restored and in great shape. It’s an inherited vehicle so I wanted to make sure it got there safely, and J&S were the only ones that really seemed concerned about the safety of the vehicle.” “Let me tell you, they weren’t the cheapest either, but I was willing to pay a little bit more.” “Working with J&S was great. They were very accommodating. They expressed a lot of concern for the safety of the vehicle, and they got it to me a day ahead of schedule. Let me tell you, they weren’t the cheapest either. There were other companies that were a little bit less expensive but because of J&S’s customer service I was willing to pay a little bit more.”… Read more »
